Here is a paragraph about the play. Click this link for tickets till the last show on December 18, 2022.

“There are no homeless people. Only people who happen to be homeless. A young woman named Charlie decides to write a story about people who are homeless. Charlie meets a variety of folks who make her cry, laugh, and open her mind and heart. The message of the play is simple yet profound. All we have in this crazy life is each other, and we need each other.”

I know Rich Courage from Fountain House, a Manhattan clubhouse for people with mental health challenges. Rich’s play has heart because Rich’s life was, well, rich, with experience, love and loss and the play is loosely based on his real life. Rich experienced homelessness and mental health challenges.

Here is a quote from Rich himself: “At age 62, having had no career or stable home most of my life, I now have a stable home and appear to be a successful playwright, and I’ve learned two truths:

  • Never give up; and
  • If you can help it, don’t wait till your 62!”
